Who is responsible for your information

This policy explains how Paw & Ash, operated by DAAN FASHION JEWELRY CO., LIMITED, handles personal information when you visit pawandash.com, place an order, upload customization material or contact us. Shopify hosts our store and provides the commerce platform.

Information we receive

Contact and order details, such as your name, email, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number if supplied, purchases, selected options and delivery information.
Customization material, including uploaded photographs, pet or recipient names, dates, messages and instructions.
Payment status, transaction identifiers and information supplied by payment providers. Payment card details are handled by the checkout payment provider; we do not store your full card number.
Messages, attachments and other information you send to customer support.
Technical and usage information, such as browser and device details, IP address, pages visited and cookies or similar technologies used by the store.

We receive information directly from you, from your use of the website, and from Shopify, payment providers, delivery providers and other service providers involved in your order.

How we use it

We use the information needed to take payment, prepare and deliver your order, communicate about personalization, provide support, process returns and refunds, maintain accounts where offered, prevent fraud and meet recordkeeping or other legal obligations. Where applicable, processing is based on our contract with you, a legal obligation, legitimate business interests or your consent.

Your uploaded photographs

We use photographs and personalization details to prepare your chosen design, manufacture the ordered item, check the result and resolve related customer service issues. We share the relevant material only with service providers who need it for those purposes, such as the people preparing and making your item and the systems storing your order information.

Upload only material you have permission to use. Please avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information. We do not publish your uploaded photos or use them in our marketing without separate permission. Uploading a photo to customize an order does not by itself grant permission to use it in advertising.

You may ask us to delete uploaded photographs or other customization material by emailing service@pawandash.com with your order number. We will assess and act on the request, including asking relevant service providers to delete it where appropriate. We may need to retain information required to complete an active order, resolve a dispute or comply with legal obligations. If deletion would prevent us from completing an active order, we will explain this before proceeding.

Service providers and disclosures

We disclose information necessary for store hosting, payment processing, personalization and production, customer support, order storage, shipping and delivery. We may also disclose information when you direct us to do so, to comply with lawful requests, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.

Shopify also processes information under its own policies, including for services it provides directly to shoppers. Read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and visit the Shopify Privacy Portal for information about Shopify's processing and privacy requests.

Cookies and marketing preferences

The store uses cookies and similar technologies to operate checkout, remember shopping choices and help understand how the website is used. If you subscribe to promotional emails, you may unsubscribe using the link in those messages or contact us. Order, security and service messages may still be sent when needed. Retention, security and overseas processing

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including order fulfillment, customer support, legal records and dispute handling. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it is needed; we do not apply a single promised deletion period to every record. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

We are based in Hong Kong. Shopify and other providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we use applicable safeguards for international transfers.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your information; withdraw consent; restrict or object to processing; or appeal a decision. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify that it comes from you and will respond in accordance with applicable law. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority. Exercising a privacy right will not lead to unlawful discrimination.

The store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If a child has provided information, a parent or guardian can contact us about deletion. If you upload a photograph that includes another person, including a child, ensure you have appropriate permission.
